NEW DELHI: The Union authorities has allotted the Covid-19 medical supplies received from the global community to numerous states and UTs.
The authorities mentioned it’s taking steps for expeditious clearance and distribution of the medical and different reduction and help materials.
It created a cell beneath Addl. Secretary [Health], MoHFW to coordinate the receipt and allocation of overseas Covid reduction materials as grants, assist and donations.
Functioning from April 26, it includes of one Joint Secretary on deputation from Ministry of Education, two Addl. Secy stage officers from MEA, Chief Commissioner Customs, Economic Advisor from Ministry of Civil Aviation, Technical Advisor Dte. GHS, Representatives from HLL, two Joint Secretaries from MoHFW and Secretary General together with one other representatives from IRCS.
Further, a excessive-stage committee beneath CEO, NITI Aayog and comprising of Secretary Expenditure, MEA and officers of Niti Aayog and MoHFW has additionally been shaped to oversee the entire operation.
38 medical institutions- 8 in Delhi-NCR, 2 in North-East, 4 in North India, 11 in East India, 4 in West and three in South – in 31 states and union territories have allotted the supplies thus far.
