Germany has evacuated almost 2,000 from Kabul airport, Berlin says – Times of India


BERLIN: The German army has airlifted almost 2,000 folks out of Kabul airport, defence minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer instructed journalists on Saturday.
Two gentle helicopters, shipped to Kabul in a single day, are prepared to start out evacuation operations out of the town, which will likely be coordinated with worldwide companions on the bottom, she added.
Germany’s chief of defence, General Eberhard Zorn, stated the German air drive will transport child meals and hygienic articles wanted on the airport to Kabul.
