iffi: IFFI move to drop my film politically pushed: TMC neta | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Actor, filmmaker and TMC chief Bratya Basu levelled costs of political manoeuvring on the Union authorities after his Bengali film, ‘Dictionary’, was not included for screening on the 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, which was attributed to a “spelling mistake”.
Referring to the choice as “politically driven”, Basu mentioned in Kolkata that he had acquired written affirmation from the competition organisers in regards to the film’s choice on November 5. However, he claimed IFFI “surprisingly omitted the film from the list” a day later.
