iPhone 12 collection smartphones (12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max) have contributed the most in the sales of Apple’s telephones (up to 71 p.c) for the month of January, as the tech big grabbed six locations in the international high 10 best-selling smartphones checklist.
According to Counterpoint Research`s `Market Pulse` report, the Apple iPhone 12 led the checklist adopted by the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
There was a pent-up demand for 5G upgrades inside the iOS base which, together with sturdy provider promotions, resulted in strong sales for the iPhone 12 collection.

Nearly one-third of Apple’s sales for the iPhone 12 collection got here from the US due to sturdy provider promotions and 5G demand.
“The iPhone 12 Pro Max was the top-selling model in the US, as consumers preferred the high-end version. Old models iPhone SE 2020 and iPhone 11 also continued to do well,” the report talked about.
The iPhone 12 mini made it to the high 10 checklist, trailing the different iPhone 12 collection fashions in addition to the iPhone 11.
“The iPhone 12 mini, which offers specs similar to that of the iPhone 12 at a lower price, failed to attract buyers because of a smaller display and lower battery capacity”.
The sub-$150 units Redmi 9A and Redmi 9 managed to seize fifth and sixth spots, respectively, in January.
These smartphones collectively contributed a 25 p.c share to Xiaomi`s complete sales for the month which is regularly increasing its share in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) area.
Samsung`s Galaxy A21s managed to preserve its place in the high 10 checklist.
The Galaxy A31, the different Samsung mannequin in the high 10, entered the checklist for the first time.
“Samsung is aggressively promoting the Galaxy A series. It comes with a premium design, fresh colours and latest specs at affordable prices,” the report famous.
Through the A-series, Samsung can also be trying to appeal to the customers of Honor units.
