j&ok: LPG Gas Pipeline for J&K to be given top precedence: Union minister Puri | India News – Times of India

JAMMU: Indicating that extra improvement in J&Okay is on the playing cards, Union minister for petroleum & pure fuel and housing & city improvement, Hardeep Singh Puri on Thursday stated that the metro rail challenge in J&Okay will be authorized by subsequent week. He stated the demand for LPG fuel pipeline may even be given top precedence by the federal government.
The minister stated this whereas talking to the media throughout his go to to Jammu as half of the continuing ‘Public Outreach Programme’ in J&Okay.
The minister stated that many schemes underneath the current authorities are reaching their saturation factors. He cited that the PM Ujjwala Yojana that has offered eight crore LPG connections up to now.
Referring to J&Okay –Bhatinda Gas pipeline Project, Singh stated, “Presently we have 19,000 kms of gas pipeline and it is likely to be extended to 35,000 kms i.e. additional 16,000 kms are to be added and J&K will be given priority.”
“After abrogation of Article 370, the development projects that were languishing for years in J&K have been taken up and many have been completed in these years. The development paradigms have now changed in J&K which is evident from the fact that the development works have achieved a pace under the new administration and are now completed within a timeline in J&K,” he maintained.
