KABUL: About 100 Islamic State (IS)-affiliated terrorists surrendered in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar on Tuesday, Chinese media reported citing native official’s affirmation.
“Some 100 Daesh or IS militants surrendered to officials of Nangarhar General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI) in provincial capital Jalalabad city Tuesday morning,” Xinhua News Agency reported Mohammad Bashir, director of Nangarhar GDI workplace as saying.
The terrorists who surrendered had been energetic in Muhmand Dara, Chaparhar, Kot and Khogiani districts, in accordance with Bashir.
With the previous insurgents’ surrender, peace and stability can be additional strengthened in the mountainous province, the official stated.
The surrendered terrorists referred to as on fellow IS members to put down their arms. The IS group, which has staged a number of assaults in Nangarhar in current months, has but to make feedback on the report, in accordance with Xinhua.
