Over 4.36 crore unutilised Covid-19 vaccine doses still available with states, UTs: Centre | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: More than 4.36 crore stability and unutilised Covid-19 vaccine doses are still available with the states and union territories to be administered, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated on Friday.
Over 65 crore vaccine doses have been supplied to states and union territories thus far by all sources and an additional 1,20,95,700 doses are within the pipeline.
“More than 65 crores (65,00,99,080) vaccine doses have been supplied to States/UTs thus far by Government of India (free of price channel) and thru direct state procurement class. Further, greater than 1.20 Crore doses (1,20,95,700) are within the pipeline,” it stated.
The new part of universalisation of Covid-19 vaccination commenced from June 21. The Central authorities has been supporting the states and UTs by offering them Covid vaccines free of price.
