PM Modi transfers first instalment of PMAY-G to more than 1.47 lakh beneficiaries in Tripura | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday transferred the first instalment of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) to more than 1.47 lakh beneficiaries of Tripura by way of video conferencing.
With this, more than Rs 700 crore have been credited immediately to the financial institution accounts of the beneficiaries on the event.
Following Prime Minister’s intervention, bearing in mind the distinctive geo-climatic situation of Tripura, the definition of ‘kuccha’ home has been modified particularly for the state, which has enabled such a big quantity of beneficiaries residing in ‘kuccha’ homes to get help to assemble a ‘pucca’ home.
Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh and Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Dev have been additionally current on the event.
