Amarinder, who had stepped down from the chief minister’s post on Saturday, stated he hopes that Channi is ready to preserve the borders of Punjab secure.
“I hope he is able to keep the border state of Punjab safe and protect our people from the growing security threat from across the border,” stated a tweet posted by Amarinder’s media advisor Raveen Thukral.
After his resignation on Saturday, Amarinder had launched an all-out assault on Sidhu, with whom has been at loggerheads for a number of months.
The Congress veteran additionally stated he will not settle for Sidhu as the subsequent chief minister or the get together face within the upcoming meeting polls.
He had dubbed Sidhu as “anti-national, dangerous, unstable, incompetent” and even a safety menace to the state and the nation.

“I cannot allow such a man to destroy us. I will continue to fight the issues that are bad for the state and its people,” stated Amarinder Singh lashing out at Sidhu for his “close alliance with the leadership across the border”.
Amarinder had resigned because the chief minister on Saturday and stated he felt “humiliated” after a number of Congress MLAs raised a banner of revolt in opposition to him.
