Russia, Uzbekistan to hold military drills near Afghan border – Times of India


MOSCOW: Russia and Uzbekistan will hold joint military drills in Uzbekistan near Afghan border from July 30 to August 10, Interfax information company cited Russia’s armed forces as saying on Tuesday.
The train will happen in southernmost Surxondaryo province and can contain round 1,500 troops and round 200 autos, together with plane.
On Monday, Russia’s armed forces mentioned Russia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan would hold military drills 20 km (12 miles) from the Afghanistan border in Tajikistan from August 5-10.
