Kliment Kolesnikov turned the primary man to swim the 50-metre backstroke in underneath 24 seconds on Monday as he broke his personal world report within the self-discipline on the European Aquatics Championship. Russian Kolesnikov, 20, completed the semi-final race in 23.93sec, seven hundredths of a second higher than his earlier report of 24sec set on the 2018 European Championship in Glasgow the place he gained three gold medals.
The 50m backstroke shouldn’t be an Olympic occasion. The Tokyo Games are scheduled for July 23-August 8.
