Three explosive drones destroyed over Yemen, Saudi-led coalition says – Times of India

DUBAI: The Saudi-led coalition preventing Yemen’s Houthi group stated it had intercepted three explosive-laden drones over Yemen on Wednesday, a day after shrapnel from a drone destroyed over Saudi Arabia wounded eight and broken a civilian aircraft.
The three drones, intercepted and destroyed in Yemeni airspace, had been fired by the Houthis and have been aimed toward civilian targets, in line with coalition statements reported by Saudi tv channels Al-Arabiya and Ekhbariya.
The Saudi-led coalition stated on Tuesday it intercepted a Houthi drone concentrating on Abha worldwide airport, scattering shrapnel within the neighborhood of the airport in southern Saudi Arabia which wounded individuals and broken a aircraft.
The United States condemned the Abha airport incident, calling on Houthi authorities to uphold a ceasefire and interact in UN-led peace negotiations.
