Virat Kohli To Remain Captain In All Formats: Top BCCI Official To NDTV

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) treasurer Arun Dhumal on Monday rubbished stories of Virat Kohli stepping down as India’s limited-overs skipper after the T20 World Cup, saying that the board has not mentioned something on this matter and that he’ll proceed to captain the workforce in all codecs. “This is all rubbish. Nothing as such is going to happen. This is all media creation,” Arun Dhumal advised NDTV. “BCCI has not met or discussed anything on this issue,” he mentioned.

Kohli has captained India in 45 T20 Internationals (T20Is) and 95 ODIs, main the workforce to 27 wins within the shortest format and 65 in ODIs.

The T20 World Cup will kick off on October 17 and go on until November 14 within the United Arab Emirates and Oman. India will open their marketing campaign in opposition to arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24 within the first sport of Super12 Group 2 stage.

India have been grouped with Pakistan, New Zealand and Afghanistan. Two extra groups that can qualify from Round 1 will be a part of them.
